KASKI: The Restaurant and Bar Association (REBAN), Pokhara chapter, has contributed Rs 1.2 million to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund to support families affected by the recent Bhotekoshi flood.

The monetary contribution is expected to aid in post disaster search, rescue, relief and rehabilitation efforts.

Hotel and restaurant entrepreneurs operating in Pokhara’s Lakeside area, along with office-bearers of the organization, voluntarily raised the amount for people affected by the devastating flood that struck Rasuwa on August 26.

The Pokhara chapter collected the fund as part of its corporate social responsibility, said Bishwaraj Poudel, Chairperson of REBAN Pokhara.

Poudel further shared, “During times of disaster, businesses have an equal responsibility toward society. Many citizens are currently suffering, and at such a time, we have provided whatever support we could for the relief of those affected.”
